Client Dinners and Receptions Next to the ICC
Siamais hosts corporate events Birmingham companies and conference delegates can walk to: the restaurant and cocktail bar is 2 to 3 minutes from the ICC and Symphony Hall. It takes 120 guests seated or 150 standing, offers company-branded cocktails and bespoke Thai menus, and whole-venue hire starts from £2,000.

Two to three minutes from the ICC
If you are running a stand, a delegation or a whole conference at the ICC, the evening plan is usually the weak link. Coaches across town lose people. Hotel function rooms feel like the conference never ended. Siamais is in Oozells Square, 2 to 3 minutes on foot from the ICC and Symphony Hall, so delegates can leave the last session and be holding a drink before their lanyards are off.
That short walk is the practical case for holding a delegate dinner or drinks reception here. It also helps with turnout. People who would skip a venue that needs a taxi will happily walk round the corner. Utilita Arena is about 5 minutes away for events based there. For smaller conference groups who just need feeding before an evening programme, the pre-show menu at £30pp, a small plate and a large plate, is built for ICC and Symphony Hall crowds.
The corporate events Birmingham teams run at Siamais
Corporate functions here fall into a few clear types, and the space flexes for each. Because the restaurant and the large bar space sit under one roof, an event can move from standing reception to seated dinner without a change of venue.
Smaller groups do not need to hire anything. A small client dinner works in a gold birdcage booth, which is semi-private and makes a better impression than a standard table. Siamais does not have a separate closed meeting or dining room, so if confidentiality matters, exclusive hire is the route. Daytime bookings benefit from the natural light in the room, and the heated, covered terraces give smokers and phone-call takers somewhere to step out.
- Client dinners: semi-private birdcage booths, set menus or a la carte
- Team socials and leaving dos: sectioned areas with banqueting menus per head
- Drinks receptions and launches: canapés and the full bar, up to 150 standing
- Company dinners and awards nights: exclusive hire, up to 120 seated
- Working lunches: two courses for £18.95, Monday to Friday, ordered 12pm to 3pm

Company-branded cocktails and the bar
Siamais creates company-branded cocktails for corporate events. That means a drink designed or renamed for your business, a product or the occasion, served on the night as part of your event. For a launch or a client reception it is a small detail that gets photographed and talked about. Ask about it when you enquire so the bar team has time to work on it.
Behind that sits the regular list: 20 Book of Siam signatures such as the Toffee Old Fashioned, Riptide with Roku gin and elderflower, and Oriental Breeze with rum, Italicus and cucumber, plus 14 classics, wine, champagne and beer. Cocktails cost £11.50 to £13.25. Not every colleague or client drinks, and a corporate host should plan for that. There are eight Koh Mak mocktails at £7.95, so the alcohol free option is more than a cola.
Food for a mixed group of colleagues
A corporate guest list is the most mixed group a kitchen ever feeds, and Thai food copes with it well. Chicken and lamb dishes are halal. Vegan and vegetarian guests get a full three course set menu, Grounded in Siam, at £41.95pp, and gluten free options are marked. Allergies are catered for when they are agreed in advance, so gather them with your RSVPs.
For seated dinners, Taste of Siam is £44.95pp and The Siam Feast is £49.95pp, both three courses served to share. Sharing plates do a useful job at a work dinner: they give people who barely know each other something to talk about. For exclusive hires the kitchen also offers canapés, buffets and bespoke menus. All of it comes from the same kitchen behind the restaurant's 82 dish a la carte menu, which was named Best Fine Dining Restaurant in Brindley Place at the Wonders of Westside Awards 2020.

Budget, minimum spend and payment terms
Finance teams want numbers, so here are the published ones. Whole-venue hire starts from £2,000, and the quote depends on the day and the time. A minimum spend applies to every private hire, and everything Siamais supplies, food and drink alike, counts towards it. Set menus are £41.95, £44.95 or £49.95 per head.
A 50% deposit secures a private hire. It is non-refundable and is deducted from the final bill on the day. Get internal approval before paying it, because a cancelled event does not get that money back. Smaller table bookings take a £5 per person deposit instead. If your company needs a particular payment process, such as a purchase order number on paperwork, raise it in your first enquiry. We have not published terms beyond the deposit, so it is better to agree the details with the team up front than to assume.
Getting delegates and out-of-town colleagues here
For guests arriving by train, New Street is about a 16 minute walk via Centenary Square, or a 7 minute taxi. The West Midlands Metro runs from the Grand Central stop to Library and Brindleyplace, each a few minutes away on foot, and the same line serves Wolverhampton. Five Ways is the closest station on the Cross-City line.
Colleagues driving in should allow under 20 minutes from M6 junction 6 or under 30 from M5 junction 2. Q-Park Brindleyplace is the nearest car park. It is cheaper booked ahead on YourParkingSpace, and the code SIAMAIS10 gives a further 10% off, so put it in the joining instructions. The Broad Street bus stops are a 3 minute walk. Access and facilities for disabled guests are provided. The dress code is smart casual with no sportswear, so normal office wear is fine, and there is no cloakroom for bags and coats.

Getting sign-off: virtual tour, brochure and enquiry
Most corporate bookings need someone else to approve them, and that person has rarely seen the venue. Two things help. The 3D virtual tour lets a director or a client in another city walk through the restaurant, the bar and the heated, covered terraces from a laptop. The events brochure is a PDF you can attach to an approval email. Public proof helps as well: Siamais holds a 4.6 Google rating from about 2,911 reviews.
When you enquire, include the date, expected numbers, the format you have in mind and any timing constraints, such as a conference session that finishes at 6pm. Use the enquiry form, call 0121 643 3993 or email birmingham@siamais.co.uk. Siamais is an independent venue in the Enchanted Ventures group, alongside Lulu Wild, Aluna and Smokey Barrels, so you are dealing with a local group and not a national chain.
